Hazel Bernadette Gapuz, or "Ace Gapuz" as known to many, is an entrepreneur, marketing and public relations specialist, and financial education advocate.
She launched her very first business, a food cart franchise selling dimsum at age 21. She then ventured into the PR & events business at age 22, servicing companies big and small alike for corporate events, publicity, and media relations. One of the most memorable moments in her early-twenties career was leading the PR launch of Grab (formerly known as MyTaxi.ph/GrabTaxi) in the Philippines. Age 23 was when she got into the distribution business, selling beverages.
At age 24, she completed her MBA degree and pioneered Wise Cash, a podcast that promotes financial literacy for the youth and young adults, in partnership with The Global Filipino Investors (TGFI) and NEW Media Factory (NMFtv). She put up a restaurant called Woodchuck House at age 25, and then continued to expanding to a food park, D'Park Food Hub, the first food park in the beautiful Boracay Island at age 26.
At age 27, she became a startup entrepreneur dabbling with the complexities of artificial intelligence and machine learning, she is currently the Chief Executive Officer of Blogapalooza Inc., the Philippines' premier influencer marketing company established in 2011 and formally incorporated in 2015. As a firm believer of the influence economy, she is also the brainchild of Buzzin, the first influencer marketing platform in the Philippines that aims to connect businesses to online content creators and influencers for digital content campaigns.
As a millennial entrepreneur and chief executive, she is a thought leader in the field of influencer marketing and sought-after speaker in various industry events. She enjoys telling stories through her blog, AceGapuz.com.
Ace graduated from the Ateneo de Manila University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Management, minor in Strategic Human Resources Management and holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from the University of the Philippines Diliman. She took academic units in the University of Technology Sydney for her international business education.
